Kids’ Chance of Florida to Host National Kids’ Chance Conference

Sarasota, FL – Kids’ Chance of Florida, Inc. is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the Kids’ Chance of America National Conference May 2-4, 2019, in Sarasota, Florida. Over 100 people are expected to gather from over 40 Kids’ Chance state organizations to learn and share ideas, strengthening the entire Kids’ Chance “ecosphere.”

The National Conference begins on Thursday evening with a Tropical Sunset Welcome Reception Cruise on the beautiful Sarasota Bay, aboard the ship LeBarge (which is as classy as it sounds)! Drinks, food, and fun await you on this two-hour cruise in paradise.

Friday will focus on connecting our community. The Kids’ Chance of America Board and Council of States Organizations will hold in-person meetings. State representatives who are attending their first KCOA National Conference are invited to attend a special breakfast to get to know each other.

We will come back together over lunch with KCOA Founder Bob Clyatt, and participate in discussion sessions throughout the afternoon.

The highlight of the day will be the Kids’ Chance Annual Meeting, followed by the President’s Reception and National Conference Dinner. Neil Phillips, Founder of Visible Men and Founder & CEO of Visible Men Academy, will be the Keynote speaker this year.

Saturday will be devoted to Kids’ Chance College Sponsored by Coventry, a day long program of educational sessions on topics relevant to our state organizations.

Kim Stezala, President of Stezala Consulting, LLC and Senior Partner at Design Group International, will return to present on Student Engagement. We will also have presentations on financial aid and marketing, as well as a panel discussion with non-profit industry experts.

As no event is complete without our kids, a Scholars’ Lunch with student scholarship recipients will take place midday.

We will close the conference Saturday night with a dinner and show at a longtime Sarasota tradition, the Florida Studio Theatre. “A Night for Kids’ Chance Improv” will feature the talented FST Improv group, which will know will result in more than a few laughs together as a community.
